Teal et Tangerine

Hello Lovelies,

Teal and Tangerine are some of my best contemporary colors and the reason is not far-fetched. They are bold, fun and show stopping. As a matter of fact, i picked both for a dear friend's wedding coming up real soon and honestly cannot wait to see results.

Color blocking on the other hand.... i am not a big fan of, largely because its over-used. I mean everyone loves the trend, which is okay but on such occassions.... i usually pass (corky much and i know lol )

Anyways i had a go at it yesterday to work as thursdays are semi casual days and i was going off in the evening to another meeting so i needed something comfy. Here's what i came up with

I was bored with my nails last weekend, thought to paint them different colors... it works !

This weekend will be busy, need to prepare myself and the boo for a dear friend's wedding. Also meeting up with my friend who came to town briefly, with her husband and there may be pictures : )

Style Post- Prints and Pegs

I love prints, especially the serious ones (so aztec, leopard, horizontals, cheetah, geometric, landscape and the likes)

I paired this metric print sheer top with an old blazer from H&M and slim fit pants on my first day of training (like 3 weeks ago) for a business casual look

It came out effortless/simple and chic which was the way i wanted it : )

Switch things up a Lil'

Happy Monday Guys !!!

Hope everyone's weekend rocked. I spent mine moving boxes of clothes down a flight of stairs and up another, my shoulders still hurt : (

In other news, i'm in the process of cutting my hair as i want to grow it out natural... a girl needs a hawt fro : ) so technically im tired of this current hair cut (as usual).

I decided to switch things up a little by tying a lil turban on my very vintage dress to church on Sunday.... here's how that panned out

Pls don't ask me how i did it because i just did... i never learn how to do anything (singing, dancing, cooking, buying etc), i just try my hands on it and it works out just fine lol (genius aint it)

The dress is so vintage.. it hides all em curves i know...but its poker dot with lace collar style details so i love it !  My photographer was crap so i did'nt get a full length photo lol!

The erotic and The bloody

Hello guys, how are we ???

August has been such a long month and im happy its ended. Its Friday and I'm thankful for this because i love to chill after a long and hectic week of waking by 6a.m (oh dear) for work.

The chilling this time around will be amazing as i have two books to read *yaay

To be honest, i have not be doing a lot of book reading lately (even though there are stacks in my room). I have been into blogs, general news and reading different pieces online which may not be necessarily productive.... well apart from my fashion and style based ish.

Anyways, these two books are Fifty shades of grey and Game of thrones  !!!

The former, a few people around me have read and I've heard stories of but i am ready to dig in and see for myself while the latter, i have watched the HBO series but will love to read the actual and entire book (which happens to cover everything) as the storyline is Epic.

With these two new reads....I'm just going to relax and enjoy on my ipad this awesome weekend : ) 

The UEFA SUPER CUP is tonight and my babies (chelseafc) are playing, i intend to watch that too.

Also going to visit the salon.... its a surprise so i won't tell what i'm up to until soon.

Crazy for Paisley

Fashion fades, Style is eternal - Yves Saint-Laurent

The Paisley print trend has been around for a while, i like the Traditional Persian/Indian design it stems from because it makes all the statement a woman wants.

I spotted this schoolgirl dress in the paisley print a few weeks ago.... fabuloso

Now there's a story behind what became of this dress and i will share it with you. So, the dress was originally my cousin's and i envied her cuz i thought the print was sick (as you can see lol).

It turns out she was heading to iron it and i adviced her not to so it doesn't get burnt. Lo and Behold, the minute she placed the iron on the dress, it got burnt on the chest area.

We were both sad and she went to bed almost crying lol. She threw the dress at me and said i could do whatever i liked with it.

So, i channeled my inner creativity and gave a tailor to buy a yard of chiffon and replace the chest area with the material whilst altering it to my size.

It was also not peter-pan collared initially, i told her to make something trendy out of it which she did. I was so happy with the end result.

So yaay, then came my schoolgirl meets persian print dress : )
